Testimonials. What our Guests say about Midnight Mirage.
Thank you again for your professional support, it is also my first time I have met such open-handed offer to prolong our trip due to weather condition. Most appreciated both. (David & Bohdan) It is here all the cold, perhaps coming from Kremlin, so reading your compliment is warming enough indeed.
David V. {Deja Vue} & Bohdan P. {Midnight Mirage} April 2022 Prague Czech Republic.
We were sailing with MIdnight Mirage in the middle of June. Boat is well organized to be cruised with 2 people, I have never seen such boat. For example lift for dinghy, lift for outboard engine, all possible to manage with 1 person, alarm of gas, CO, wind turbine to be independent on shore power, convenient central cockpit, many safety measures. MIdnight Mirage was fast and convenient to cruise. We cruised from Largs to Port Ellen, than to Iona, Staffa, Lunga, around Mull to Oban and we enjoyed it very much. Thank you for very nice cruising holiday.

New for 2020.
Last Year we fitted a wind generator. It's a powerful generator that keeps the batteries well topped up when you're in one of those remote anchorages. This year we have been concentrating on really making Midnight Mirage top notch. There are new headlinings in the fore-peak and in the master cabin. The Mainsail from Owen Sails, Scotlands Premier Sailmaker is brand new.
New for 2018.
Navigate with style and confidence. There is a new plotter fitted at the helm position.
We now have the new 12 inch Raymarine Axium Pro fitted at the Helm position to give you added clarity and information when you most need it. The Axium Pro is a hybrid touch screen system. You will always be able to select the information you need, rain or shine !
Midnight Mirage is an excellent all-round performer that handles supremely well in heavy weather. Her centre cockpit is comfortable & well protected from the elements. The spacious and comfortable rear cabin has its own en suite heads and the main cabin is very snug and full of character.
New in 2016.
1. A powerful Volvo D2 55HP Replaced the faithful but old Ford 1800cc Motor.
2. A new Eberspacher Hydronic 5 Central Heating & Domestic water heating system. The Eberspacher heating provides hot water whenever it is needed and there are radiators in each cabin.
Through the winter new upholstery, blinds & headlinings were fitted ready for Spring 2015.
In 2014 a new Nelson Cooker, A new Raymarine e7 Plotter, Raymarine AIS 650 and a New Genoa were amongst the items that were added and updated. When the Nelson cooker and gas safety solenoid system were fitted all of the flexible gas fittings were renewed at the same time.
She has a very large fridge and a coolbox.
Her accommodation is very versatile - 3 doubles and 2 singles, or 5 separate bunks. The front cabin is reasonably large, The main cabin will accommodate crew comfortably , one to port, two to starboard on the cushions that convert to make a double berth, and one in the quarter-berth. The rear master cabin is superb and provides excellent accommodation & has ensuite facilities.
Raymarine instrumentation is fitted throughout. There is a Raymarine Pathfinder 10” colour plotter at the chart table and the e7 hybrid plotter is in the pod above the binnacle. Both are integrated with the Raymarine autopilot. There are 2 DSC VHF radios with independent aerials. There is a Radio/CD player fitted in the main cabin and
Raymarine AIS 650 is fitted in the electrics bay.
Midnight Mirage has one new powerful 115A alternator that comes fitted with the new engine. It will keep the battery banks well charged for cruising. The Engine Starting Battery is independent of the domestic battery bank and ensures reliable starting regardless of the state of charge in the domestic bank.
A small 240v invertor allows recharging of mobile phones and laptops whilst underway.
There is an Avon RIB mounted on davits powered by a 2HP Honda 4-stroke that can be launched very quickly. A 16Kg Delta anchor with 50 metres of chain, easily handled with the electric windlass is available for anchoring.
The Easy-drop stack-pack system and gas strut kicker make mainsail handling particularly safe & easy. Furlex reefing and new standing rigging was fitted in 2009. All are in excellent condition.
There is a top of the range 8 man RFD Beaufort Liferaft mounted on the rear rail. Manoeuvring can be assisted with the use of the powerful bow-thruster.
A rope cutter is fitted on the prop shaft.
Midnight Mirage is a spacious and friendly yacht that provides both comfort & performance - She will cruise over long distances at up to 7kts or more under sail and power. With the extra large capacity water tanks and duplicated systems she is most suited to extended cruising on the West Coast of Scotland, Ireland and The Clyde. The new Volvo 55HP Engine provides added confidence for trouble free chartering for your sailing holiday. The Cockpit Hood deserves a mention. When the rains come you can stay dry and cozy up on deck. Just put up the Cockpit Hood. It zips onto the Spray-Hood and takes less than 5 minutes to put up. We feel sure you will enjoy sailing Midnight Mirage.
